Hey John,
I have an EX-1 but also use larger cameras with the 8-pin "grip" zoom controllers. There is a company on Ebay called "Jony Jib" that makes an adapter for the EX and 8-pin zoom controllers from Canon or Fujinon. To get the really smooth zoom control, I would get this adpater and then pickup a used Canon or Fuji "grip" zoom control. It will probably cost you $300+ but it is a far better zoom experience than the "little" controllers. Jusy my .02 cents! |

Jeff, FYI, you have to grind down the tabs on rode videomic shoe in order to fit it into canon mount. Works fine once you do that.
