3 pin to household outlet adapter
I picked up some colortran fresnels that have a flat heavy duty 3 pin plug. I need an adapter, preferable with a switch, so I can use them with a standard wall outlet.
Changing the plug is another option, but I was wondering if anyone has seen any adapters. |

You description sounds like a standard 3-pin stage plug (large rectangular plastic plug with three round brass pins). If so, the following adaptor should work for you: http://www.mutualhardware.com/produc...2.cfm?pid=4112
Alternately, you could change the plug or build your own adaptors. Unless you plan to use these lights in a theatrical environment I'd think changing the plugs is the best solution (*if* you are experienced in wiring/electrical safety). Having less "links in the chain" when connecting electrical equipment is always desirable and should also be cheaper since you'll find heavy duty grounded male edison plugs at any hardware store. Then if you later want to use your lights in a system with pin plugs you could always buy or rent adaptors. |
