Time to invest (again!) in lighting: LEP anyone?
Hi, after giving a try to leds and coming right back to flos, I've been sort of satisfied with my studioline equipped flo fixtures. 'Sort of' being the keyword here....
But they do take quite a bit of room, the tubes are kinda expensive (yeah, we tend to break them now and then), and I could use a little more throw from time to time. In essence, I miss my tungsten kit! So the time has come to invest in a new lighting kit. Not tungsten, definitely not led, not flos... It's actually Light Emitting Plasma technology that has picked my interest. HAs anyone got any experience with Lep based lighting kits? Any recommendations? Any gotchas? I realize this is a very young technology, but I'm willing to be a beta tester for as far as I can gather so far, the benefits seem considerable (almost perfect CRI being n°1 on my list, modifiable hardness/diffusion or focus being the second) Any opinions? |
