Where to get foamcore board for bounce?

I've looked at all the craft stores and B&H, and cannot find the big, thick board used on productions to bounce light. All I see everywhere are small flimsy thin boards or fabric based systems. Where in the world do you buy these things? I want something I can attach to a C-stand and not get ripped to shreds by wind. What do you guys use or suggest? The 5-in-1 dealies are cool, but don't hold up against wind if used outside clamped to a stand. I was on a windy shoot recently and had a pa hold two silver car window reflector on top of each other, but they still got all contorted from wind.

Your local DIY store will have this, it's just sheet insulation, you can get it in various thickness. You'll need a holder like this to mount it on a C stand. Sola :: Lighting :: Light Accessory :: Clamp :: Poly Holder

Wind is a problem and rigid sheets can get blown and possibly broken if the wind is strong enough.

How big and how thick? B&H and craft stores have dozens of choices:

I usually get mine at Office Depot, Office Max or Staples. The biggest I've found are 30 x 40, but any bigger than that and they get unwieldy. I don't find these to be small, flimsy or thin, but I guess that also depends on your definitions.

why not go to :

Barbizon

FilmTools

any other production supply house and ask for bounce board. its sold in 4X8 sheets, 1" styrofoam with silver bounce CARD glued onto one side.

if you really want to DIY, get some 1" styrofoam form the local building supply house, then glue on silver or gold bounce card from said sources, or some crafts

there are other varieties such as gator board or bead board. Thicker and sturdier than what you get in Office Despot. Try this page for examples, or google:
