Re: Which batteries for the 1x1 Litepanels Led lights?

I have a range of different V Lock batteries that I use on my Xdcam F800 and my Red camera as well as on my Litepanels. As far as I know you can use any camera V lock on them.

Re: Which batteries for the 1x1 Litepanels Led lights?

Hi Marcus

It all depends on the connectivity of the LED bank too but most panels seem to be set up so the input matches V-Lock batteries at 14.4 volts. I found that it's a lot cheaper to buy two "biggish" 7.2 volt generic packs and chargers and then mount two "stripped out" chargers on the back of the light and wire them in series to provide 14.4 volts....Comes out way cheaper than having to buy a Sony battery at massive costs!!

Then again my PowerLED light has a standard mains adapter that supplies the light only 12 volts not 14.4 volts so I use a Lithium Ion CCTV battery pack and it works really well!!!

Check the specs of the panel or contact the manufacturer and find out what the DC input is before going out and buying batteries!!!
