Hot/cold shoe requirements (Blender + EX3)
This is a question I really should already know the answer to...
I have a Sony EX3 and am considering the purchase of a Lowel Blender. To attach this to the camera's accessory shoe, will I need to get one of these? http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/332815-REG/WindTech_CM_57_CM_57_Hot_Shoe_Adapter.html I'm not sure if this is the right size, etc - seems pretty simple, but I don't know what I need.... Thanks! |

From the Lowel website, on the Blender page (lowel.com/blender), under the link "Uses These Stands & Mounts" -
To use the 1/4-20 hole on top of the camera, and for the lowest mounting, replace the stand adaptor with Low-link (code ViP-37) The Cam-link and Stud-link (Code: ViP-41S) uses the light's stand adaptor for a little height to get over a long lens or matte box, and for easy transfers to and from light stands. The Low-link with a Cam- link (Code: ViP-41L ) allows a lower mount utilizing the accessory shoe. |
