IDX on-cam LED light
IDX has announced a new product on its website, the dimmable X3-Lite http://www.idxtek.com/x3.htm. 35+ watts of light at 11 watts of power. Very interesting. They say the led's have a lifespan of 10,000 hrs... anyone seen this?

Any idea what this unit will cost? I didn't see anything on the web site.
Good luck. Dennis |

There are plenty of better choices. The photometrics of these types of fixtures are pretty bad. They say all sorts of things about light levels but what they don't say is that they are measuring from 2 feet. And this light is a narrow band of daylight. Doesn't do much for you indoors. An MR12 fixture is more efficient and more pleasing to the eyes.
