What's the proper IRE level for a green screen?
I've been aiming for 40, figuring that a lower level will produce less reflection onto the talent, but is there an generally accepted light level for a green screen? Why?

Google search at the bottom of the page gave SOLID hits on this topic. 50 IRE seems to be the "magic" number for a bunch of folks. Search DVI and follow the links.

Thanks Shaun. I never even realized there was a Google tool on this site.

No problem. The HARD part is telling people about it without sounding like a cranky old man!
