Video light
I know this has been ask before, but I cannot find the old thread. But what is a good video light to put on the XL-1s? I don't have to much cash to spend on a light right now and I want one with it's on battery and charger. Thanks for your help

Canon's Vl-10Li light is probably the least expensive unit you'll find. Its assets are that it's small, mounts to the cam's shoe and uses the same batteries that your XL1 uses. Its liability, however, is that its weak (10w) and offers little opportunity to control color and diffusion.
Yes, this topic has been bashed pretty hard around here in recent months. Use the "Search" function to look for threads. The consensus seems to be in favor of Frezzi's XL1 kit with dimmer. But, at US$600, it might not fit your budget. You can see this kit at B&H Photo: http://www01.bhphotovideo.com/default.sph/FrameWork.class?FNC=ProductActivator__Aproductlist_html___205881___FRMFKICXL1___REG___SID=ED566243BF 2 Maybe you have a birthday coming up soon? <g>
