anyone have any real experience and even better any real f-stops at distance/iso/speed for them?

The 800 model probably would provide about as much light as a 500-650 watt fresnel, but since it's not a fresnel, its beam wouldn't be as focused. The softbox models are going to be nice and soft, but probably not with much throw. Generally when you use a softbox you're going to have it in close anyway. I've been curious about these, particularly the 800 with barn doors. I shoot lots of interviews with 500LED lights from flolight.com, but sometimes I need something with a longer throw and not so soft for background lighting. And the 5300K would make it warmer than the LEDs.
