New LED light from Flolight
I have three of their LED 500s and really like them. I expect that this is every bit as good and more:

I've heard good things about the LED 500's and saw this 1000k model at NAB.
You're liking the lights fairly well? Can't beat the size for travel but I have heard (didn't see personally) that the lights tend to be a bit on the green side? Any thoughts on this? thanks, mike |

My only complaint is that they are quite bright in the eyes when used for key lighting. With the bank selecting. even when you turn of three of the four banks, the light is bright in your eyes. You can get around this with a little diffusion, but with a fluorescent you wouldn't need to. Color temperature wise, they are fine. They barely generate any heat at all, and running all three at once off a little bit of zip cord is no problem. I really like them.
With the LED 1000, I wouldn't mind seeing some sort of diffusion option other than clothes-pegging diffusion to the barn doors. |
