church with glass ceiling producing yellow light,
hi! should I use blue filter on my tungsten light or no filter at all when lighting churches reflecting yellowish cast coming from the colored windows and glass ceiling

I would use a warm filter, as close to the color of the light coming in overhead, and white balance to that. Unless you're going for an effect using different colored lights, keep it all the same color and white balance to that! :)

another question at the reception with big chandelier, should I now use CTB filter or should I still need to match the color temp of the chandelier?

I would think that the chandelier would be tungsten (3200 K), so I wouldn't use the CTB. I would match the color of the chandelier.

Dimmer or new quartz studio light?
Are those home depot $100 dimmer safe for arri 1kw coz I'm thinking of just buy a new light (quartz studio light with variable output) like this one http://cgi.ebay.com/1000w-Continuous...QQcmdZViewItem i will just use it during the brides preparation. need some advise
