Does the the 5 slot reader work with the new cards or is a driver update required? Can the reader dnld directly to a HDD w/o laptop?

It needs a firmware or driver update AFAIK. I havent looked into it myself as im still using 8GB's at work and doubt i'll be getting any 16's to put into our PCD20 for awhile.
And no the reader needs a machine between it and a HDD to make the transfer. |

Chris,
All current P2 devices with exception to recently shipped HVX200's and the new HPX500 will require a firmware update to talk to the 16GB cards. The P2 Drive is strictly an external peripheral, just like a CD/DVD drive, floppy etc. and requires either a laptop or desktop system to connect to. |
