Outputting SD & HD simultaneously?

Does anyone know of any tricks to get the HVX to output both an SD and HD signal?

As far as I can tell the component out overrides composite and S-Video.

I'm recording to a firestore, and running a preview monitor off the component output, but I also need an analogue SD signal.

Any ideas?

Can you split the component output, with something like Y-cables? I've done this with the composite outputs, sending to a couple TVs. Was a short-notice solution but it worked.

you cannot do this in camera - the hd signal disables the SD - you need a external downconverter which is pricey
