HPX500 + Firstore
I am not sure but I think I´ve read that DVCPRO HD is given out by firewire also - so its DEFINITELY possible to use firestore with it? (to widen recording time or as a backup media)?

Yes, the FS-100 should definitely work with the HPX500.
