HPX500 rental
I'm shooting a low budget feature for three weeks in Connecticut this July and would like to know what's a good rental rate.

Or better yet, who has HPX-500s that they are renting? Calls to all of the usual suspects around here in LA have yielded responses from, "huh, what's that?" to "we have not received ours yet".
I would think $500.00 to $700.00 per day would be the price range although P2 rentals are highly dispoportionate in cost. A stupid $650.00 8GB card still rents for $50.00 per day at most places. That's only because they are hard to find, once the 16GBs are available to everyone, the rental costs should go way down and you will only need a few cards for most shoots rather than the big pile of them you need now with the 8GB size. If you had a pile of 8GB cards, renting them at $50.00 per day, per card would make you a lot of money, you would pay for the cards with a mere 13 rental days, that's a good business proposition. Good luck and let us know if you can find one and what they charge. Dan |

Hi Robert:
Good timing, I actually have an HVX I am buying and picking up from Ron tomorrow, I'll ask him about renting the HPX. Dan |

For anyone looking, I currently have a Panasonic HPX500 for rent. Pricing is on the website.
