What do I need for tripod
I have a Peter Lisand LST80 that was used for our Russian 35mm now I want to use for the hvx200, what kind of mounting adapter to I need to get? The tripod has no other accessories/parts just the 35mm mount.

A tripod designed for 35mm film cameras will be a pretty serious tripod, and probably has a Mitchell mount plate. What kind of head do you have on this tripod?
The HVX200 uses the standard 1/4-20 screw and a guide pin for mounting. Depending on the type of head you have, you may need to simply swap the screw, buy a new quick release plate, or get a different head. |

Thanks Ralph,
I am unsure of the head, and we kinda bootlegged the 35mm mount so I have no quick release or additional hardware. Here is a picture of it http://21stcenturywizards.com/tripod/head.jpg I am unsure what to do, I guess I screw up from the slot but that would be a hassle when it came time to remove or mount the camera. Peter Lisand - ballast from the past...
Can anyone shed some light on Peter Lisand's fluid heads? I recently inherited an old model UL1 set on a 100mm bowl and would dearly love to know a little more about the head's capabilities and performance in the field. It seems Peter Lisand only makes sticks and braces now. I tried emailing the official website directly, but so far, no reply.
