Can HVX200 take two P2 cards of different sizes
Does anybody knows whether the HVX200 camera can cope with two P2 cards, one at 4GB, the other at 8GB or one at 8GB, the other at 16GB?

shouldnt have a problem.. but if youre shooting with an 8gb card, then using a 4gb to record while the 8gb is transfering, you will run out of time

Understand ... but I am not referring to continous recording. The usual stop start recording. Without 2 P2 cards in the camera, I have to watch the available space very carefully - to maximise the space used on one P2 card before I transfer it to P2Store. Because whether I shoot 1 minute footage or 20 mins (the maximum at 720p, 25PN), it will still occupy 8GB of space. I rather let the camera do the figuring out of when to switch over to the next P2 card.

TingSern,
When the 16gb cards become it's *most likely* that a firmware update for the HVX200 will be required in order to use the larger cards. Other than that, there is no issue with mixing card sizes. |
