Firestore and HVX-200-Files are MXF
Hello,
I am a new user of the HVX200. My editing platform is Avid Xpress Pro HD. I just took delivery of the camera and a Firestore. I can get the Firestore to record from the HVX200 allright. But when I hook up the Firestore to my computer the only files I see are MXF files. Is this normal. I can't seem to get my Avid to accept them. I really don't know what I am doing wrong. Can anyone help? Thanks |

Yes, it's normal: see http://www.p2info.net/p2faq.php#p2post -- look under "What is MXF?" and "What if my NLE doesn't support MXF files?"
See also "Information about the MXF File Format" at http://www.p2info.net/resources/index.php#mxfinfo -- hope this helps, |

Thanks
Thank you all very much! It worked.
Now I just need to figure out why I would want to use one shooting mode over another. In other words, what would be the most optimal shooting mode in say a few general circumstances. Maybe you all have some favorites. |
