HDCam to DVC Pro HD
I wanted to skip the dubbing step (tape cost and double the time) to convert my HDCam to DVC Pro HD. I called Panasonic and had a support tech tell me that it is possible to hook up a Sony deck to the AJ-HD1200A deck via HD SDI and then out of it directly into FCP via firewire. Has anyone done this before? Since I don't have HDSDI on my MBPro, I thought this would give me a better edit than an SD Downconvert from the Sony deck to DV via firewire.
