usb2go solution
I'm buying a hvx soon and i'm planning to use the usb2go solution to offload the cards. I found a usb2go serial ata device.
StarTech.com InfoSafe 2.5" SATA to USB 2.0 On-The-Go Drive Enclosure. Its powered by a 4AAA battery pack. aaa are cheap and charge pretty fast. I was just wondering if it might help with the transfer speed(using a 7200 sata drive). I found on the board that most people take about 8 minutes to transfer a 4 gig p2 card. So if anyone know about this device and have some comments...otherwise i'll test it and report about it when i get my cam. |

Go with this one, it has rechargable batteries. . . .
http://www.mwave.com/mwave/viewspec....iteria=AA30310 You can also order a 100g drive at a reasonable price, an option on the same page. 7200 will not make it any faster. Ive used a few of these, you can offload and deliver the drives right to your client, or keep a couple of these for field work, depending on your workflow. . .. |
