can't change the frame rates, am I dumb?
So I get the camera. Rent a P2 card to "open" her up a little. And am getting to know my wonderful camera. Only I can't seem to get my lower frame rate(1, 2, etc. all the lower than 12 fps and single shot) to work. Meaning they are in blue and I can't change them. I've been trying to get to know this camera and am getting better, but I can't seem to change some "factory" settings. Mainly what I stated above. Am I missing something?
If any body can help I'd appreciate it. I'm a director trying to play my own DP so go easy on me. |

Lower frame rates as in the intervalometer? You have to be in video cam mode, then set the recording mode to intervalometer, and then it'll open up those interval options.
Or if you mean frame rates such as 12/18/20/36/48 etc, you have to be in 720p mode and film cam mode, then they become available. If you mean the "secret" frame rates (every even frame rate from 2 to 60, and a few odd ones) you can't get at those from the menu system, you have to save your scene files to an SD card and then edit the resulting text file on a computer to change the frame rate parameters to get access to the hidden frame rates (which we call the "frame rate hack.") |

Here's the link to the original, detailed description of the scene file hack.
