Firestore Problems
My Firestore has been perfect for the first 2 months but now it has started to pause on me while recording. It gets stuck and the only way to turn it off is by removing the battery. I also loose footage because i think it is recording but it is not.
Has anyone else had this problem? Thanks Craig |

Craig,
Unfortunately the Firestore has been the subject of much debate about it's reliability and quality. If you do a search you'll find many threads relating to issues similar to yours. I would suggest contacting Focus Enhancements directly especially since it's a new unit. There may be a firmware upgrade that will fix the issue or, you might have a bum unit. |

Craig...
I have an occasional problem where the start/stop button on the HVX200 won't trigger the Firestore. Either it won't record on demand or won't stop. The quick fix I found is to turn the camera off, then back on again. That solves the problem but it takes me offline for several seconds as the camera is restarting. Other than that I hadn't had a problem. I did run into a situation where it woudn't respond to any button presses, but then I discovered that it was inadvertently "locked". "Unlocking" it got it back working normally again. I must have hit a button or button combination while handling it during the day.
