Where to set 0 db slate on HVX200?
Hello,
I purchased a Sound Device Mix Pre to use with the HVX200 and am unsure about where I should be placing a O db slate tone on the HVX audio scale. Straight up on the HVX gain control knob places O db on about the right white line, which allows for about +12 to +16 db on the Mix Pre without getting the red clipping indicator on the HVX. Any suggestions? Thanks, Drew Harty |

The two white lines represent -20dB and -12dB. If the MixPre can be set to output a -20dB tone, that's what you'd want to calibrate your potentiometers to.
