Filming Today. Need help with HVX settings!!

Hello, I'm assigned to work on an Independent film. I have the HVX with the Mini 35. I would like to know if DVCPRO HD with 720p 24Pn is a preferable setting, or 1080 24P would be a better choice. I also need suggestion with the in camera color correction, which settings are recommended to get a film like look: Any suggestions with specific settings on the Gama features, how about Cine-Like feature? Any other settings I should look for? I also had some questions regarding the Black balance. How do you black balance this camera so I can get the rich blacks. I would appreciate any help...filming tonight!!
My output will be DVD and possible film Transfer (Maybeee)
Thanks

Al

Thanks, I will take a look at the manual, but I'm also looking for real life experience with these settings. Just looking for some suggestions..

Also see

pages 50 thru 51 and 100 thru 101 for menu options about your other questions.

I'm not yet intimate with the settings myself; am only trying to help.

Just noticed that we're "almost" neighbors.

I presume the North Bergen is in NJ. If not, apologies for my presumption. I lived there for a year after getting married, then moved to Essex County, a few miles west of Montclair.

Did you find answers to your questions?
