Firestore Import into FCP
I am shooting on the FS100 and I have shot some footage before I have recieved my MAC. I basically coppied the files to and external hard drive to access them when I needed them. I organized P2 but I did not copy the lastclip.txt file with my first 2 shoots. Is this footage lost foreever or can I recreate this file and trick the computer.
Thank God it is not the most important footage! C |

Craig,
If you've deleted those files from the Firestore then yes, those clips are rendered useless. That .txt file has code needed for the entire MXF data chain to be complete and readable/usable. I'm not sure the exact data that is listed in the file, but from Barry Wan Kenobi could most likely tell you. |

Thanks Robert for the reply
Even though it is bad news! I now copy all the files except the empty logs to my hard drive. The good news is that I can use raymaker or that other program to save the footage. I looked at the lastclip file from firestore and it seems easy enough, I will have to wai to see if it works. Does anyone know if they can replicate the file? Crag |
