Setting analog output to 720p/29.97 instead of 720p/59.94?
I'm working with the live HD analog outputs of the HVX200, and am curious if it is possible to set them to 720p/29.97 (or 30) instead of 720p/59.94. (It says 720p/60 and 1080i/60 in the camera menus, but the actual speeds are 59.94.)
All I can find for the analog output options in the camera menu are 1080i, 720p, and 480p. There are 'recording frame rate' options, but I'm not sure whether they affect the live output signal. Anyone experimented with this? Thanks, Eliot |

The output is always either 1080/59.94i, 720/59.94p, or 480/59.94i. Those are the only options to choose from.
But your variable frame rate footage will be carried within those transport signals, so if you shot 720/30p and display it on 720/59.94p outputs, it will look identical to if you were outputting at 720/30p. |
