FCP 5.1 supports 1080/24PA mode
Apple's released the new "universal binary" version of FCP, now upgraded to FCP 5.1. One of the new features is the ability to remove pulldown when importing clips from a P2 card, and they specifically list 1080/24PA as one of the modes that it can do this with.

Really??
I thought the Uni-verion of FCP was simply to port over to the Mac-tel chipset/Rosetta environment. But they've actually upgraded capabilities?? Cool. I'm getting mine today.

1080 pa in FCP 5.1
Have you actually tried it and it works? (I'm waiting on 5.1 to arrive by mail, and anxious to shoot some 1080 pa with my DVX200).
