mxf Files to Final Cut Pro
I downloaded a folder that was upload to a web site from the p2 card of a HVX200
It has a Contents folder-Audio-Clip-Video-Icon-Proxy-Voice subfolders. One as mxf files in it. How to get these video files if they are into FCP 5 to view the footage. Thanks |

Did this for the first time last night. It's super easy.
In your project go to File--->Import---->Panasonic P2 A viewer type window pops up. I think there is a "+" button where if pressed the finder comes up. Just pick the folder which contains the stuff. It will import all clips in the folder into the viewer type window and you'll even see thumbnails of the clips. From there you can import all, or import whichever clip you want. It coverts it to .mov and it's in your bin. Bingo. I think you need the latest update of Final Cut to make this happen. 5.0.2 or something like that. |

Thanks Brian.
User error. I was running 5.0.3. Upgraded to 5.0.4 and it worked without an issue |

Gotta love it
Yes, the ubiquitous Apple "Contents" directory. Apparently someone there thought you need a Contents directory to hold the "contents" of the volume.
