Don't get me wrong, I'm not knocking anyone's efforts at Panny to resolve whatever is going on, but it certainly would be nice if they would at least SAY that there is a problem and that they're working on it.

Addressing the issue directly would eliminate all the guessing, speculation and anxiousness surrounding the HVX release. I feel Panansonic has nothing to lose by sharing info and risks losing some of it's first customers by not doing so.

Besides, how bad can the problem be? I certainly haven't heard anything but praise from Kaku about it's operation, so it certainly can't be a debiliating issue to the model. But then again, that's just more guesswork, isn't it?

I agree Mr. Lane.
It would be nice to give an explination for the delay. It's a great camera though and I think that whatever reason Panasonic has for the delay, it must be a good one.

Cameras are shipping.

We had one camcorder arrive yesterday without 8 gig cards for a customer that we were expecting.

Two more with cards showed up unannounced today.

Indeed, bodies are starting to trickle into dealers with promises for more on the way. According to my retailer I should have mine by end of next week. I'll of course keep the forum updated.

Congrats Steeev. I'd hoped you would be the first to get it. I know you will really put this camera to the test and look forward to seeing your footage/work. Better go get all your chores done now before the HVX arrives.

Mine's here too

My camera arrived at my retailer today; it's missing the P2 cards but those are supposed to be in later this week.

So it looks as if Panasonic is finally shipping units in decent numbers, so the wait is over. I imagine we'll be seeing lots of test clips soon.

Got mine after a 6 day wait.....

Ordered mine on the 25th, and it arrived yesterday. So either I'm ridiculously lucky, or Panasonic is ramping up its shipments.

The 25th of January? And you got it already? Where are you so we can all beat you with a stick!

:)

Just kidding. Welcome aboard and congrats! I am sure Pana is ramping up but in your case I do think you got ridiculously lucky!

I have had mine on order since Nov.6 and still nothing!
