looking forward to buy
hi...i've been shooting in dv for the pass few years and i'm familiar with FCP (4 and earlier versions, not 5)...i'm really interested in buying the HVX....i bought the HD100, but had to return it because of split-screen issues, though it is a very nice camera....i'm really new with HD and i just want to know what is sufficient for capturing and editing DVCProHD....P2 cards are just too expensive for me....i'm looking forward to shoot/capture onto a computer/laptop in DVCProHD....please help me with what i need to know and what i should get...in terms of computer hardware....oh, and do i need a RAID system in order to shoot/capture and/or edit DVCproHD?

Abel, you may be better off just looking for your answers on this forum and also on the DVXUSER forum.
Those questions have been answered many times over and over. Although, reading what you just wrote, I would buy the camera and become accustom to using it while waiting for the 3rd party capture devices to hit the market this Spring. Steve |
