Received my hvx200 demo dvd

Last night I watched my HVX200 demo DVD. Nothing new that I haven't learned in this site.
The question is: Are all those images shot on video? Say, Varicam, SDX900, SPX800, HVX200? Or is there film footage mixed in the demo?

There's an opening sequence of a F-1 car that is just incredible.

Most was shot with the VariCam, the President Bush footage was from an archive reconstruct, ie, mpeg archive, reconstituted to DVCPRO tape, shot initially with the SPX800 and there is a sequence later on that had footage form a DVX100A.

Hope that helps,

Jan

Jan: Are you the woman in the video that talks about the differences between HDV and DVCPROHD?

No that's not Jan. Jan knows all this stuff without reading from a script!

Right -- Jan is a booth babe, but she's not a spin-and-grinner! Trade show regulars know the difference!

(She probably wrote that script!)

I thought this was supposed to be an HVX200 demo DVD, but most was shot with a Varicam? Is there a demo DVD of stuff shot with the 200?

There's no HVX200 footage on that DVD - it's a teaser, nothing else. There will be a DVD with footage on in the future though, but when?
