Ronald,
All I know is the camera is "approximated" to be 1 stop better in low light than the Sony FX-1/Z1U. No guarantees at this point (of course) but that's impressive to say the least. The real catch is the Z1U at 6+ db of gain is equivalent to the DVX100A at 0db...however the HVX appears to have solved the low light noise (admittedly minor) isssue....as has the DVX100B.
