Dual recording system? at DVinfo.net

For EVENT VIDEOGRAPHY, will it be possible to shoot in DVCPRO50 or DVCPROHD to the Firestore 100, while simultaneously record a DV25 version on the miniDV tape?

I suppose DV25 to P2 or Firestore with a MiniDV backup is possible, but I'm not sure about the above.

I don't think so... I'm pretty sure that whatever streams out the firewire port is determined by whatever mode you're shooting in. So if you're shooting DV, that means standard-def DV is being transmitted out the firewire port. I believe that's how Jan explained it, but if I'm wrong I apologize and look forward to having the info get corrected! I'm pretty sure that the DV tape only works if you're recording in DV mode. You could shoot in HD and stream that data out the firewire port, but then the DV tape wouldn't work.
