Awesome, I'm downloading it right now. Street price is pretty good at $13,300; B&H also lists the camera + VF at 15,500 which is pretty reasonable compared to the PMW350. Then again, the PMW also comes with an OEM lens, while the 600 requires you to bring your own... will eng lenses ever come down in price? A camera like this really needs a nice lens, but these days "nice" means more than the camera lol.

Update: Ok, so I checked out the clips in Premier and I'm surprised to find that the picture doesn't look significantly better than my 370. There is still softness to fine detail and still some noise running around in the shadows; very little skew though!
I guess the large sensor makes for a narrower depth of field, and is perhaps more sensitive, but it's not as big a jump as I would've expected.

I'm starting to think that the 3100 is a better idea, due to CCD's, more control over image, etc. Allan, do you have access to both cameras so that you can give an objective view of the differences?

Can hardly say I had the wow factor and the you tube footage is pretty much what I would expect from my HPX371.

I am not sure where this camera fits in yet and it may have been better to go for a 3x 2/3" cmos design rather than a single chip.
