It looks like the HPX371 (370) has been approved by the BBC.

Interesting that the EX-1 and 3 are approved with an external recorder, while the Panasonic is ok - as is!

Yes Paul the AVC Intra 100 codec is full broadcast HD so that is the key element, I've been using my HPX301 for broadcast for two years now and as Alan says it is virtually identical to the 371 in PAL mode.
Great little camera and what it does for the money is fantastic.
