New $2,500.00 AG-MSU10 P2 Portable Storage Unit
This is looking pretty intriguing as well. Sort of a modern P2 Store? Looks outstanding for long form producers, kind of a lot of the cool things about the present P2 devices but smaller, cheaper and possibly faster and more reliable? I like the idea of SSM drives...

Dan,
Looks like it's similar to the Nexto NVS2500, except it only does P2 cards, whereas the Nexto does other types of cards, but requires an adapter for P2. I like the removable drives and dual slot aspect of the Panasonic vs. internal only drive of the Nexto, which is $2500 with 160Gb SSD option. The fact that the MSU10 is made by Panasonic is a plus. Great to have more options! Jeff Regan Shooting Star Video |

Maybe a silly question, but could we put standard, non SSD HDD's in this? Might be nice for certain applications where maximum storage is more critical.

Nexto has announced a NVS2525 which has P2 slot at the top, adapters for CF and the ability to piggyback a bare drive powered and operated from the Nexto:
