P2 Audio gone from files
I shot on the HVX to a P2 card. Done this a million times. I monitored the levels, even with a headset, and the P2 audio shows in the CONTENT folder but there is no audio when brought in to the Avid. The Avid audio is working fine. All other projects are fine. This projects files have picture and no audio. Since I've never had this happen before I'm at a loss.
Any ideas on why this would happen? Thanks! |

1.
First of all; is the audio audible in the P2CMS software? If it's there, then it's related to the ingesting of the files. If not, then the problem lies within the acquisition. 2. I'm no expert in the AVID area, but I suppose it works like FCP and it unwrappes the footage from the MXF and rewrappes it in QT? If so, does the ingested file play (with sound) in the QT-player? If so, the problem lies within the AVID-settings. If not, back to 1. Hope this helps a bit. Good Luck The Workstation http://www.workstation.nl |

I was wondering; did you under- or overcrank while shooting this footage?
That could count for disappearing sound.... |
