Quick question on uncompressed output
If the HVX-200 really does have an analog component uncompressed output will that trully be a 1920x1080 raster image? This is for the 1080 mode of course. I understand the need of massive hard drives and hardware for this type of work. I just wanted to knowif anybody can confirm that if on this camera and other HD cameras it is possible to get the full pixel count from the chips or if it is actually part compressed to the resolution of the recording format. The reason I am asking is that I am slightly put off of the 1280x1080 or 960x720 resolution and would not object to buying a component to HDSDI converter along with a HD SDI capture board if I would trully get a higher pixel count.
I also understand that we do not know the size of the chips yet and for all we know the resolution could top off at 1280 anyways so this may not matter. |

I will let Jan C. have the definitive answer, but I did NOT see this
option at NAB. The closest thing to component out is the firewire port that will supply (component) DVCPro 100 HD signal compressed signal AFAIK.
