panasonic hvx200 p2 capture to imac
i know everyone is going to hate me for asking a simple question, but i have no idea how to capture p2 from my hvx directly to my mac desktop. the two p2 slots are blinking oreange, my 1394 device says its connected. i bought the camera from ebay and do not have any software installed on my computer for p2, please help

i do have the manual, that only helps me with what i need to do, not what to do when it doesn't work. also, incase anyone would like to help, i now cant record, it just flashes external 1394 disconnect...starting to reconsider going back to Sony

I am not familiar with Mac requirements for P2 - but if you don't have any software on Mac, it won't work. Try going to the link I provide and download the Mac software and try. Or maybe some other experts who uses Mac can chip in and help you out.
What NLE are you using on your iMac? FCP? |

yea using FCP 6 ive downloaded the software, the camera now wont let me even record, it just says external 1394 disconnect...
