Panasonic has posted the Firmware update for the HPX-500 to use E cards
Downloads & Updates - Support - The Beauty of P2 HD I installed on mine and it worked although I don't have an E card yet to test it on |

There is a slightly newer version of this firmware upgrade since the first release.
