There are some topics on this - I think the HPX300 ones - but the simple answer is that at the moment, despite the menu suggesting you can....... you can't. Sorry.

Have you had a look at the Cineform section?
It acts as a third party codec, and allows for fast editing and colour correction... Not sure about you scenario, but it seems to be the answer for people working with highly compressed material... Check out their banner at the top.. The intro product (basically their codec) NeoScene, allows hobbyists to work with highly compressed material with lots of speed and accuracy for colour correction and playback... The more advanced product (ProspectHD), utilizes the same codec, but totally revamps Premiere Pro for fast playback of corrected material... You can let the price range and needs dictate what product works best for you... Good luck!!! |

Thanks, I have CineForm Prospect HD but AVC-Intra is not ready yet
From David at CineForm "Well, it is a licensing issue, if the costs a balance the requests for AVC-Intra then likely sooner. However if AVC-Intra decoder vendors price themselves out for the market then we will not support it directly, and have to do workarounds like we did for DVCPRO-HD". It is funny, you see an AVC-Intra folder in the movie "what's new in CS4.1" at adobe? Wonder when they intend to release the support AVC-Intra, now when it didn't turned up in 4.1? |
