Default HVX200 won't go into MCR mode or Menu
Hi everyone,
A friend just called because his HVX200 wont go into MCR mode, nor will it bring up the menu when he presses the button. Additionally, the "1" and "2" lights on the back of the camera by the P2 slots are not lighting up. However, when he presses "Record", the TC rolls and his remaining P2 goes down. Both P2 cards also show up in the LCD and all other buttons work. Any guesses as to what's going on? Thanks! Peter |

Subject line should read "HVX200 won't go into MCR mode or Menu". Ignore "default."

Hey Peter
This is a common problem. There are a couple flat cables in the camera that need replacing. These cables connect the top board to the menu control and back panel control. Often times this problem is followed by the camera zooming by itself. You need to send it in for repair. I have done this many time on the HVX. Andy
