Can these fit an a P2 card?
Wouldn't it be neat? 2TB storage, 104 MB read/write speed.

I believe it when I have the real thing in my hand. I think the 2TB capacity is referring to the maximum design limit - not a real memory product that exists today. It is just a specification, right? Right now, I am more concerned about the prices of existing products - 64GB P2 is something like SIN$4,000 - and that's madness there.

Kinda makes the case that P2 itself is no longer a necessary technology at some point as one of those SDXC cards would easily handle the throughput and data storage needs of DVCPROHD. Look to a camera like the HMC150 as the future of where it's all going.

SDXC is only a specification right now. There aren't any products yet. I don't know if they can squeeze 2TB into the form factor of a SD card.

From what I understand that part's a done deal- we just have to wait for the products to make it from the lab to Best Buy.

And ... you need to wait - because all existing equipment does not have the interface to talk to SDXC. Remember when SDHC first appeared - no card reader/writer is able to talk to that card? Namely, it is not only the SDXC that must first appear, the manufacturers (Panasonic in this case) have to integrate a SDXC compatible controller into their cameras as well.

I think I read somewhere that the SDXC cards was compatible with SDHC and readable in a SDHC reader !

Hopefully so. But until we have a real product at hand and tested it using our existing equipment, I can't be 100% confident that is the case.
