Need I can't even really express..
Hello all,
I once again turn to the smart folks here to help me. Problem: capturing live to my Mac Notebook (2.4 GHz intel core 2 duo, 2GB memory) from my X-500 P2 camera. I admit I know nothing about graphics cards or computer hardware in general, so I don't really know how to frame my google search. I'm not having much luck presently. Aside from purchasing a Firestore, Is it possible to install a card in this Notebook to use the "Capture Now" feature of my FCP 6 program? Thanks |

A Firewire cable from the camera to your computer should work for capturing live. You just need to set "Non-controllable device" in FCP's capture window.
