P2 to Storage Drive then to FCP? at DVinfo.net

Can I shoot P2 dump to standard NTFS drive via PC and then import from that drive to FCP 4.5?

Howver you get the P2 files to your Mac, FCP can use them. I dump to a PC to an external USB drive that is FAT32, that way I can connect it directly to my Mac Pro to copy over. Just be sure you copy the CONTENTS folder and the LastClip.txt file intact without changes and you will be OK. I create a new directory for each card dump. However, IIRC, you will need FCP 5.1 to import the P2 file structure.
