HVX200a vs HVX200: does anyone have any comparison images?

Does anyone have any images of noise level comparisons between the two units they could post here?

Haven't got any side by side but it's pretty substantially cleaner. Not sure if it's worth trading up 200 for 200a but if you are thinking of going one or the other, definitely go 200A.

Would you say it's better by 3db, 6db, or...? In other words, the HVX200 was very noisy at 12db, and fairly noisy at 6db... how would you compare the HVX200a in those terms? Do you own both cameras?

If you do a search, Barry Green posted a very detailed article on the 200/200a with samples from both cameras - I think the thread originated on another forum. But search for it here and you'll find his article.

In brief: the 200a probably adds 1 to 1.5 stops of light sensitivity and the color rendition is much more natural. The HPX170 is using the exact same chipset so it's imagery will be identical.
