hpx500 question
hey everybody.
I just got my new cam. The tapeless technology blow me away. I am back to being "in over my head". Forgive my basic question but I really have to get up to speed yesterday. In my "Recording setup" menu the "Rec Format" is set at 720p/30N. The next line reads 480i Rec Mode DVCPRO50 (in blue) I cannot seem to get a HD setting in this line. I have tried all the frame rate settings. How do I shoot in HD? thx, -g- oh yeah, how do I capture/transfer live? thx again |

720p is DVCPRO HD. The 480i is in "blue" meaning it is inactive, but that would be your sd rec format if you were in "non-HD" mode. Confusing nomenclature in the beginning, but you'll get the hang of it in no time. Anything in blue is inactive.

Thank you, next question, is there a 2 pin power supply port for an on cam light?
I can't believe Panasonic would build a broadcast news cam without one. Does any one know where that port is hiding? |

It's on the Anton Bauer Gold Plate. If you're IDX, I dunno.
