Quick Question: Audio From Mixer
hi all
i never worked with a panny 200 before and i've just been called for a job scheduled tomorrow. i'll do sound. i'm going to use a SD 302 mixer and i wonder how to set the levels on camera. how do you find the -20 db level? is it like on the dvx100? first red brick is -12? how many db per brick? does the camera like levels running at the beginning of the red bricks like the 100? thanks pietro |

Pietro,
I recommend that you download the HVX-200 manual from the Panasonic website. There are two vertical bars in the viewfinder (in the audio levels area). I believe that the first bar (from the left) is -20db and the second is -12db. I do not have access to the manual right now, but I believe the above is correct. I welcome any corrections to the above information.

The HVX200's meters are different from the DVX100's. There's set marks for -20 and -12, and there's no red at all except for when clipping.
