HVX in DV tape mode when edit to tape
I'm getting this different behavior on HVX in DV tape mode with FCP6.02, maybe Apple changed the implementation, wonder others are having the same outcome.
By selecting DV preset in FCP, edit the footage, then trying to print to tape but the recording ends up recording earlier than I set. Say I want to record from 9.59.00.02 (drop frame), so I set the master to tape location to be 9.59.00.02, but actually gets recording from 9.58.59.20. I got into the device control preset and changed the offset then it does move back and forth with various settings but I never used to have to do this before. Did Apple changed the implementation? Now we have to fine adjust the offset for master to tape? |

The offset value that I found which works for HVX200 in DV mode is "-22" frames.

Actually, I could not get it to work precisely on the wanted frame. Hmmm.
I tried with Premiere Pro CS3 and the offset was 5 frames and it worked. |
